We want everyone to be able to find, preview and license music on cadential., and every artist to be able to sign up and manage their catalogue. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA across the public site, checkout, licence pages and the artist portal.
What we've done
- Everything works with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline, and a "Skip to main content" link at the top of every page.
- Text on the public site and checkout meets AA colour contrast against its background.
- Form fields have labels, and errors are announced to screen readers.
- The audio player's play buttons and seek bar have labels and work with the keyboard (arrow keys seek).
- If your device is set to reduce motion, animations, smooth scrolling and the 3D visuals are switched off.
- Decorative images and icons are hidden from screen readers; meaningful ones have text alternatives.
Known limitations
- Licence, invoice and agreement PDFs are generated automatically and are not fully tagged for screen readers. The same terms are on the Licence Terms page, and we'll send any document in another format on request.
- Music previews are audio. Track pages describe each track in text (genre, mood, tempo), but there are no transcripts of lyrics unless the artist provides them.
- This is a self-assessment made in September 2026, not an independent audit.
